She could feel and hear the change in his mood, and she could understand why he was so bitter about the fact that Sam's first part of heaven was with another family. If it had been her up there, and she saw her own brother with another group of people, she would've been furious too, and she and Lyle weren't even that close. She had to wonder what it was like, to value someone so much that one little thing like a Thanksgiving could make you feel entirely betrayed and useless. The only person she currently felt that close and attached to was Dean, and she was positive that she hadn't shown up in his heaven at all. But why would she, she wasn't Sam or his mother. She wasn't his family, which was probably a good thing, based off of the kissing that had happened earlier.

"What were Thanksgivings like with your Dad?" She wondered, choosing to focus on things that Dean would consider happy memories, instead of talking about Sam.

She wanted to share a few of her own Thanksgiving memories with him, but this wasn't about her, so she bit at her lip to silence any further speaking. She glanced up at him one last time before turning her head so that she was using his stomach as a pillow. Her hands moved about behind her awkwardly, until she found his, and she fumbled to grab hold of him. But laying like that wasn't comfortable at all, and so she gave up trying to take hold of his hand, and instead just resumed her earlier activity of playing with the buttons on his shirt.
